Ya Kid K is the older sister of the artist known as Leki. Her real name is Manuela Barbra Moasco Kamosi and was born in Zaire in 1973. This rapper was originally introduced to UK audiences through her work with dance music act, Technotronic. She had moved to Belgium when she was 11 years old, then Chicago, Illinois, USA, where she was introduced to rap and deep house music. On her return to Belgium she teamed up with Jo Bogaert of Technotronic.
